In June, We also participated gratis in Beacon! You can check out some of the work on youtube.com.
We were especially proud since the curator for this groundbreaking work was none other than honorary scribe (daughter/granddaughter) Jessa Ciel.
April and May SOS events went very well. Grass Valley was such an appreciative audience that we have agreed to return next April for the Sierra Nevada Poetry Festival. Stay tuned for more info. on that in the near future.
In June, SOS participated in Poet vs. Band at Gold Lion Arts. It was waaay too much fun. Seriously. I think we ended in a tie. The poets seemed to think team poets won, while the bands seemed to believe that they indeed won... and the audience, well... they seemed equally divided on the topic as well. Thanks again Nsaa for including us and Gold Lion for hosting.
July-October, Scribes has been on hiatus. I have seen all the views, folks searching our pages and I have been remiss in giving you the news, but know that we are well, always thinking of you and remember, we have lots of finished projects out there for you to tap into when we are planning, creating and rejuvenating, getting ready for the next projects, but not as out there and accessible. So, stock up on Caledonia's Daughters, Mud Cloth Roots, Priorities and Scribes Rising. Remember, they also make great gifts for birthdays, wedding presents and the holidays.
